J**ob Requirements**:

- Will report and receive direction from the Recreation Manager
- Experience is and assett
- Understands and embraces the importance of the Holistic Care Approach when planning, organizing and implementing activities.
- Demonstrates a positive, flexible work style and approach to the implementation of change
- Ability to demonstrate working independently and as a team when planning and implementing activities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and time management skills
- Current First Aid/CPR/GPA/Smart Serve certificates or willing to acquire
- Experience in Recreation, especially with seniors (not required but an asset)
- Must be able to communicate in English (written, verbal, reading) to a minimum High School Level. French language skills are an asset.
- Computer skills (word, excel)
- Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check/TB Test
- Certificate in Recreation Studies is preferred however **not mandatory**
- Compassionate to residents, their families and the team, and driven to a high quality in an interactive environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Work the occasional weekend and one evening shift per week
- Plan and implement activity programs focusing on the Holistic Care Approach and using suggestions from residents
- Ensuring there are proper supplies available for a successful program well in advance
- Organize independent activities for residents
- Organize, plan and implement large and small events/programs
- Assist residents with resident led activities
- Some administrative duties
- Completing Residents Profiles upon admission

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: $16.50-$18.50 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
