Our company - 2046369 Ontario Inc. aka Zellens Auto Mall has established a reputation for outstanding quality and service in Hamilton area. Company is located at 274 Catharine St N, Hamilton, ON. We are currently looking for 1 automotive bodyman who will be responsible for the finishing of parts (in addition to prep production wings and body panels, blending in highs and lows on part surface and fixing up abused corners with body fillers) who can join our team as soon as possible. This is a full time, permanent position for mature individuals with professional experience. We offer a competitive wage rate. All applicants should be able to communicate in English.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Understand how to repair dents and replace panels
- Sand, grind body surfaces to be repaired
- Remove badly damaged sections of the body panels and weld and adhesive bond new section on to replace them

Refinish repaired surface using spray guns
- Masking surfaces in preparation of painting
- Application of rust proofing and other spray when applicable
- Prepare components for coating using various preparation methods
- Follow all established safety procedures
- Mask appropriate areas as required
- Inspects components during processing stages
- Application of primers, masking and repainting automotive surfaces in accordance with factory and dealership specifications
- Polish painted surfaces
- Maintain a clean work space and tools.

**Requirements**:
Experience: at least 3 years of experience in auto body painting and finishing

Credentials: High school completion

Language: English

Essential Skills:

- Current knowledge of the changes in plastics, electronics, metals, finishes and vehicle systems
- Possess problem solving skills
- Be punctual, reliable, pay attention to detail and meet the tight deadlines
- Strong commitment to work
- Ability to work well with others as well as independently

- Ability to stand, bend, twist, crouch and lifting for some time
- Dedication to provide exceptional clients’ service
- Time management skills

Compensation:

- Salary: $27 per hour
- EI, CPP
- Vacation: 2 weeks per year
