Feller Buncher Operator

Superior Resources is a well-established fibre management and natural resources company that operates in Northern Ontario. We are looking to fill a Feller Buncher position. This position will be expected to assist our current team with conducting a broad array of services that will take place primarily in the field.

Buncher Operators manage heavy machinery to gather logs, ensuring efficient forestry operations. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, safety adherence, and precise log placement for transport.

**Responsibilities**:

- buncher operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery, including feller-bunchers and harvesters
- they must maintain and repair machines when necessary
- the operator ensures that all safety measures are taken and that the machines are working properly
- they must follow instructions and communicate effectively with the team
- buncher operators must be able to identify and remove obstacles that may interfere with the job
- they must be able to monitor and maintain production levels
- operators must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and environments
- they must keep accurate records of work performed and report any issues to management

**Requirements**:

- buncher operator must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- ability to operate and maintain a variety of machinery and equipment used in logging operations
- experience in operating a buncher machine and knowledge of safety procedures
- physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors
- willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and occasional weekends
- ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety regulations at all times

**Other Assets that will be considered**:

- prior training, education, and/or experience
- has a good understanding of earthmoving techniques and timber harvesting
- proficiency of the French language
- familiar with area adjacent to the communities of Greenstone and/or Nipigon

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
