Turndown Attendant

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, the Turndown Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in all guest rooms and public areas in accordance with Langdon Hall and Relais & Chateaux standards. A Turndown Attendant will promote a positive image of Langdon Hall and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**_
- Prepare necessary material required to accomplish daily tasks
- Execute room cleaning, following Langdon Hall’s established turndown standards as well as Manager’s instructions
- Assist with laundry duties at the end of the shift, such as loading washing machines and dryers, and operating the press
- Practice safe working habits, including bending and lifting appropriately to avoid injury; reporting hazards; appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and working to minimize tripping hazards
- Report any damages or repairs to the correct department
- Report every lost and found item to the Housekeeping Manager
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas such as linen closet, common storage rooms, etc.
- Always greet guests in a friendly and professional manner according to Langdon Hall’s standards
- Comply with Langdon Hall’s policies, procedures and Core Values
- Uniform and personal appearance are kept clean and professional and are in accordance with Langdon Hall’s Grooming Policy
- Perform other duties as required.
- **Work Conditions and Physical Requirements**_
- Fast paced environment - must be able to work under pressure and be able to multitask.
- Lifting: Under 20lbs 50% of work time.
- Carrying: Over 15lbs 10% of work time.
- Pulling: Over 10lbs 50% of work time.
- Bending, standing, reaching, stair climbing and kneeling.
- Exposure to chemicals
