TonTon Sushi Cambie is looking for someone to join our team helping us prepare our sushi rolls

Responsibilities of this job include:

- Preparation of sushi rolls
- Measuring and prepping of ingredients
- Cutting fish, vegetables, and other common ingredients

Work experience and requirements:

- Previous work experience of **at least 1 year** of prepping sushi is required for this position
- Being able to work in a very fast-paced and under high-pressure work environment.
- Well-round knowledge and familiarity with sushi rolls (i.e. knowing what goes inside a Cali/Dynamite roll; understanding of different ingredients such as tobiko, tamago, etc.)

Our restaurant produces a huge amount of food during busy hours and days (Fridays-Weekends), sometimes making up to 700 rolls a day.. It gets very, very hectic. So being able to work quickly and efficiently while under stress & communicating well with others with teamwork will make you fit for this position

Hourly wages can be negotiated during the time of the interview based on experience.

**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Tips

**Experience**:

- cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooks: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
