**HOURS: 7:00AM TO 3:30PM (variable as needed) GRADE: 9**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Responsible to the **Human Resources Manager **for delivering training sessions to ensure all new and existing Distribution Centre team members are knowledgeable in effective, efficient and safe work practices in accordance with Home Hardware policies and procedures and legislated safety requirements.

Deliver assigned on-the-job and new hire orientation training programs utilizing adult learning methods. Training programs include, but not limited to WHMIS, recertification's, Subject Matter Expert (SME) training, standard operating procedures (SOPs), annual H&S training, forklift certifications and learning management system certifications and programs specific to Home Hardware.

Work with the Human Resources Manager and DC management to coordinate and implement training schedules. Keep management informed of training activities to ensure consistency and completion.

Review and evaluate effectiveness, appropriateness and performance of current training programs; provide recommendations for content changes to the Wetaskiwin Distribution Team. Update training program material with centre-specific content as required.

Coordinate administrative functions necessary to deliver, document and track training programs. Monitor, record and file all training-related data.

Other tasks as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Minimum three years’ training and/or facilitation experience in a distribution centre/warehouse environment.

Understanding of effective/current teaching methodologies and tools and adult learning principles and processes, with an ability to convert concepts into practice.

Knowledge of various distribution systems such as the warehouse management system, mobile computer devices and voice picking systems. Understanding of Home Hardware’s procedures and practices is beneficial.

Strong communication skills and excellent presentation skills, with a positive and engaging attitude.

Proven self-starter and team player; strong organizational and time-management skills. Confident with the ability to work without direct supervision.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects with a focus on achieving results.

Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and LMS.

Willingness to work varied and extended hours, covering all shifts, in order to meet training objectives/needs.
