Maximise Freestyle Snowboard and Ski Centre is a premier training facility dedicated to delivering exceptional snowboard and ski experiences. We pride ourselves on providing quality coaching, state-of-the-art facilities and unforgettable adventures on the slopes.
**Job Summary**
The Operations Manager at Maximise is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of daily operations to ensure smooth and safe experiences for guests and staff. This role involves managing operational teams, maintaining high safety standards, and optimizing operational efficiency. The Assistant Manager acts as a key leader in creating a positive, enjoyable environment for guests and employees while ensuring the seamless functioning of the ski hill.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Operations Management**
- Assist the Director General in overseeing daily operations, including park preparation, snowmaking, grooming and lift operations (rope tow)
- Define resource needs and organize schedule for Operations employees
- Monitor weather forecast and assist in planning snowmaking schedule
- Supervise the opening and closing procedures for the ski hill.
- Maintain relationships with key Operational partners and service providers
**Team Leadership**
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, safety, and accountability.
- Assist with recruiting, training, and onboarding seasonal and full-time employees.
- Ensure staff are adequately trained in safety protocols, equipment handling, and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular team meetings and address performance concerns promptly.
**Safety and Compliance**
- Enforce safety standards for guests and employees, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of lifts, trails, and equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
**Financial and Administrative Tasks**
- Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and procurement of supplies and equipment for Operational needs.
**Qualifications**
**Education and Experience**
- Experience in ski resort operations or a similar role
**Skills and Competencies**
- Bilingual - Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ski hill operations, including snowmaking, and park grooming.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational management software.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
**Other Requirements**
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the ski season.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate snowmobiles and other hill equipment.

Le Gestionnaire des opérations joue un rôle clé dans la création d’un environnement positif et agréable pour les clients et les employés, tout en assurant le bon fonctionnement de la station de ski.
**Responsabilités principales**
**Gestion des opérations**
- Assister le Directeur général dans la supervision des opérations quotidiennes, y compris la préparation du parc, la fabrication de neige, le damage des pistes et les opérations des remontées mécaniques (tire-fesses).
- Définir les besoins en ressources et organiser les plannings des employés opérationnels.
- Surveiller les prévisions météorologiques et participer à la planification des horaires de production de neige.
- Superviser les procédures d’ouverture et de fermeture de la station de ski.
- Maintenir des relations avec les principaux partenaires opérationnels et prestataires de services.
**Leadership d’équipe**
- Fournir leadership et orientation au personnel, en promouvant une culture de travail en équipe, de sécurité et de responsabilité.
- Participer au recrutement, à la formation et à l’intégration des employés saisonniers et à temps plein.
- S’assurer que le personnel est correctement formé aux protocoles de sécurité, à la manipulation des équipements et aux procédures opérationnelles.
