The Child Care Corporate Finance team, specifically the Procurement and Contract Management unit, consists of around 11 dedicated professionals, including specialists, analysts, financial officers, and administrators. They play a crucial role in securing new contracts for the $10 a Day program which positively impacts both parents and child care providers. The team is known for its strong camaraderie and commitment to delivering effective procurement solutions.
**The Role**
The Procurement Finance Analyst supports staff in procurement and contracting by providing guidance and evaluating contracted services and internal practices. This role involves conducting analytical research related to the $10 a Day program which directly benefits families and child care providers. The team is dedicated, passionate and highly values their impact on the child care sector and the public.
**Qualifications**:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Diploma in the field of financial management and 2 years *related experience; **OR**:
- Certificate or coursework in the field of financial management, such as the Financial Management Certificate Program and 3 years *related experience; **OR**:
- An equivalent combination of education and *related experience may be considered.
- Related experience includes each of the following:
- Experience in financial reporting, and financial systems and controls including managing financial operations and managing financial policy.
- Experience interpreting legislation and conducting analytical research to support budget development and evaluation.
- Experience analyzing financial and accounting statements in a contract/procurement environment.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience working in the Public Service
- Experience working with Corporate Accounting System (CAS)
- Experience working with Oracle
