**Role Summary**:

- The Strategic Purchasing & Supply Disruption Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of key strategic projects and supporting the resolution process of critical component shortages with main focus on Electronics.**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the coordination of projects defined by the Director of Purchasing as critical to the success of achieving the Business Plan or Strategic objectives.-
- Monitor critical supply disruptions across the divisions.-
- Ensure that a proper escalation of supply disruption to the Global Commodity team has been executed via the right channels.-
- Host regular shortage review meetings with Divisional Purchasing and Material leads in the region, tracking status and escalating where necessary to Regional Director and/or Global Commodity team where appropriate.-
- Working with Divisional Staff, vendor(s), and tier2 suppliers where necessary to trouble-shoot potential shortages and resolve risks proactively.-
- Work with Global Commodity team and Division to resolve any commercial aspects of shortage resolutions.-
- Identifying lowest cost solutions while ensuring supply continuity.**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in a related field or 10 years industrial purchasing experience
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- Supply chain management accreditation preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Automotive industry background
