The Ajax packaging facility, where this position is based, is one of the leading employers in Ajax and Durham Region. We provide innovative packaging solutions to the beverage market and serve name brand customers such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, Anheuser Busch/Labatt and Molson to name a few.

**Career Opportunity**:
The Ajax facility is currently recruiting for one (1) Ink Tech 1 to join our Print Cut department. The main responsibilities of the Ink Tech 1 is to colour match and mix ink for the presses, troubleshoot print problems press side, record ink usage and maintain equipment and ink room areas in an orderly manner.

**Job Duties**:

- Maintain Ph and viscosity of inks going to press
- Work off existing/leftover ink inventories for jobs being run
- Fill toner carts and lab toners at the end of the shift
- Maintain high quality printing during press run
- Troubleshoot any print and colour problems
- Perform proper maintenance of all mixers and lab equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment

**What you need to work at WestRock**:

- Printing knowledge or experience required
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

**Shift Schedule**:
Must be able to work all 12 hour continental rotating shifts, DAYS (7AM to 7PM) and NIGHTS (7PM to 7AM). Shifts rotate every two weeks and include weekends.

**Compensation**:

- Competitive hourly wage with 2 increases per year based on satisfactory performance reviews
