We're looking for an experienced3D Lead Modeler to join ourdesign team on the much-beloved new Charlotte's Web Series You'll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing award-winning, hit shows such as True and the Rainbow Kingdom for Netflix, the smash-hit PAW Patrol, Mattel's Ever After High; and our own Emmy Award nominated series Justin Time. Our studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature The Breadwinner. Responsibilities: Model appealing production friendly assets based on 2D Designs Identify problems in 2D Designs and provide well thought out solutions Collaborate with Asset Supervisor and CG Supervisors on best practices for the project Collaborate with departments to ensure Modeling/Topology quality is clean, consistent, and optimized according to Rigging, Surfacing, and Animation standards Oversee the teams progress and provide feedback, quality control, and approval on models Make sure the team maintains the studio standards for naming and organizing assets Keep team informed of any potential technical or creative problems Help mentor, train the team, and cast tasks as needed for day to day production Make sure work is completed and delivered per schedule Attend meetings regularly with creative and technical leads Assist modeling team in interpreting and executing notes from relevant internal and external resources Conduct regular check-in meetings with the modeling team Ensure that the team uses Shotgun/Shotgrid properly in order to keep history of ongoing work Create clear modeling documentation for team members reference Keep current on modeling techniques and technology and propose new tools/methodologies Provide fixes when needed for other departments over the course of production Qualifications: 3-5 years experience working as a 3D Modeler Extensive knowledge in modeling and sculpting using Maya and zBrush Knowledge of Blender and Houdini is an asset. Strong hard and organic surface modeling/sculpting skills Ability to communicate creatively and technically to your team Familiarity with Autodesk Shotgun/Shotgrid is an asset To Apply: Guru Studio would like to thank all applicants for your interest, however only those who qualify for an interview will be contacted.
