**The opportunity**

Are you passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to overcome barriers and achieve their employment goals? Join March of Dimes Canada as a Skills Instructor and play a key role in delivering the Paving the Path pre-employment program.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop the pre-employment training program.
- Instruct the **Paving the Path** pre-employment program.
- Adapt material presentations based on client needs.
- Assist the Vocational Team in assessing client motivation through training participation.
- Measure consumer progress and provide timely feedback on:

- Skills learned.
- Areas of success.
- Specific actions to enable further understanding.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree and/or diploma in the Social Services field.
- Experience working with people with disabilities.
- At least 1 year of experience teaching adults with employment barriers.
- Sensitivity to issues and barriers faced by people with disabilities.
- Experience adapting educational methodologies to meet various disability needs.
- In-depth knowledge of private sector and labor market trends.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- **Bilingualism (English & French)** is an asset.
- Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in documentation, maintaining records, and report writing.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
