The Bruno Group of Companies is comprised of a number of Halifax-based companies that aim to exceed the diverse needs of our construction clients. We are making our mark with large-scale development projects through **Black + Bru Construction Managers Inc.** We are looking for a **Site Superintendent **to join our growing team.
Being part of our talented team will give you the opportunity to work on some really cool projects such as a micro-suite conversion of an 8-story hotel, a 100-unit loft conversion of the Centennial Office Tower and our adaptive re-use project at the United Memorial Church in North End Halifax.

**Key responsibilities include**:
- Champion a safety-first culture in communications, behaviors, and decision making.
- Provide guidance and hands-on training to employees and subtrades as required to maintain safe and productive jobsite.
- Participate in development of Site-Specific Safety Plan with the Project Manager.
- Review and understand project schedules and deliverables and plan work accordingly.
- Utilize ProCore to upload and/or access accurate and up to date project documentation.
- Ensure all project documentation is properly completed, documented, and submitted on a timely basis.
- Review all updated shop drawings and submittal logs.
- Participate in change management including; RFI’s, site directions, and execution of related work.
- Sign-off on subtrade and material work orders.
- Supervising project closeout activities.
- Maintain regular communication with Project Manager of site progress.
- Participate in or lead site coordination meetings as required.
- Ensure all uncontrolled hazards, near misses and/or incidents are promptly reported using the established protocols and forms.
- Complete quality control inspections on a regular basis.
- Identify deficiencies. Supervise corrective actions by stakeholders.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years construction industry trades experience.
- 2+ years site supervisory experience.
- Safety certification and continuing education.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong understanding of safety legislation and best practice.
- Strong supervisory skills
