**Areas of Accountability**

**Recruitment & Talent Acquisition**:
- Collaborate with department leaders to understand hiring needs, role specifications, and team dynamics.
- Utilize various sourcing methods (job boards, social media, professional networks) to identify top talent.
- Actively participate in recruitment efforts, such as job fairs, industry events, and outreach initiatives.
- Manage background checks, references, and maintain recruitment records with regular reporting
**General HR Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the development of company policies, processes, and employee handbooks.
- Assist with employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Stay updated on employment laws and ensure company compliance with provincial labor regulations.
**Interactions**
- Internal - Office Manager, General Manager, other field & office staff
- External - Potential hires, recruitment agencies etc

**The Person**
Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Demonstrated experience (5 years) in talent acquisition or recruitment preferably within a dynamic and growing organization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships and influencing decision-making.
- Remarkable organizational acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and adeptness at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software tools.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations specific to British Columbia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, enabling the identification of top talent and resolution of recruitment challenges.
- Proven ability to operate independently, make informed judgments, and prioritize efficiently.
