**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Management**:

- Collaborating with other DC Shift Managers and DC Managers to provide direction for the activities of supervised functions; establish responsibilities and time frames to help fulfill the annual Operating Plan
- Participate in the ongoing development of the Company’s Operating Plan, particularly as it relates to Distribution Operations matters
- Participate in or lead cross functional teams to ensure the continuous, on‑going and cost effective improvement of customer satisfaction, processes, methods, productivity and quality
- Analyze cost savings or cost reduction opportunities and implement, as appropriate
- Exercise sound business judgment in carrying out expenditures, which are authorized by the Financial Plan; collaborating with Distribution Center Manager and Distribution Center expenses
- Collaboration with Distribution Center Manager, US Director of Distribution Operations to execute the Operating Plan
- Ensure departmental metrics and goals are met.
- Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, records and documentation

Managerial Activities
- Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and motivate the Distribution Center staff to ensure the best possible service to the customer.
- Monitor the work of Distribution Center employees to ensure the accuracy of the work and timeliness of shipments.
- Act as a technical resource cross functionally to sales and other personnel
- As needed, perform all Distribution Center functions, including but not limited to receiving, material handling, shipping, and respooling

**Supplies, Equipment and Plant**:

- Ensure that adequate supplies, materials and parts are on hand to keep the Distribution Center operating smoothly.
- As delegated, ensure the performance of minor maintenance and repairs on the building (office and warehouse), DC machines and grounds of the Regional Offices.
- Notify the US Director of Distribution Operations, DC Manager (if applicable), and at the Regional Offices, jointly with the Regional Manager, as appropriate, of major problems with regard to equipment, machinery, buildings and grounds.
- Re-calibrate Distribution Center equipment, as needed.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Maintain compliance with our Quality Standards
- Understand and ensure Company compliance with UL and C S A product requirements.

**Customer Service**:

- Work with all Company departments to ensure customer satisfaction and new opportunities for business and product growth.

**Safety**:

- Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Ensure safety policies are properly applied and enforced.

**Human Resources**:

- Establish an environment where all Distribution Center employees are treated fairly, with dignity and respect, where they feel empowered to perform and grow, and where they are motivated to work as a team to help fulfill the Distribution Center’s and the Company’s Operating Plan.
- In consultation with US Director of Distribution Operations, provide human resource management, including the establishment of job descriptions, hiring, training and development, goal setting and evaluation, compensation and rewards, promotions, discipline and termination of all Distribution Center employees.
- In consultation with the US Director of Distribution Operations, Human Resources, and DC Manager (if applicable), resolve conflicts and address complaints that arise among Distribution Center employees.
- Establish a good line of communication with the Distribution Center team by providing formal huddles on the shop floor that address all business needs or upcoming events.
- Ensure the creation and completion of direct reports EPP.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**
- **Education and/or Experience**: Two years of post high school education and three to five years of progressively responsible managerial related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Experience with continuous improvement or lead manufacturing with be highly advantageous.
- **Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations**: A valid driver’s license.
- **Reasoning Ability**: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
