**Job description**:
Responsibilities include:

- Facilitate development and implementation of environmental monitoring, technical environmental programs, and ecological studies at existing and planned facilities at Orano’s Canadian properties
- Assist with environmental data management, analysis, and interpretation for toxicology studies, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystem surveys, groundwater and air quality monitoring
- Contribute to preparation of technical documentation and reports to support mining activities
- Monitor environmental compliance in accordance to Orano’s management system and relevant regulations
- Support projects requiring environmental expertise such as engineering/scientific studies, environmental performance assessment, environmental risk assessments, baseline surveys, follow up programs, resolution of technical issues, and licensing of mining projects
- Participate as a member of industry-wide, specialty stakeholder forums (e.g. CSA, SMA, SARA) and conferences
- Provide technical support to site operations staff in the areas of environmental monitoring and reporting
- Work with contractors and consultants conducting scientific studies or report development
- Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture
- Comply with Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

Work Location & Schedule:

- Saskatoon Corporate Office
- Travel to our Operations at McClean Lake as required

Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all Safety Sensitive positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use.

**Ideal qualifications**:
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

- A university degree in environmental science or related discipline (e.g., biology, ecology, toxicology, environmental management)
- Two to five years of work experience in an environment-related field
- Experience with collecting, processing, and analysing environmental data
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Experience in technical writing
- Experience in environmental management for a nuclear site is an asset
- Knowledge of environmental modelling is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills in a collaborative work environment
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to multi-task
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of safe work and quality control
