**Department**: Sales - Grills & Hearth
**Title**: Woodworking Specialist
**Hours**: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
**Reports to**: Show Experience Wood Shop Team Leader

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Set up and operation of woodworking machines such as radial arm saws, power saws, edge bender, boring machine, panel saw and shaper
- Use of hand tools including planes, chisels, drills, wood files and nail guns
- Glues, fits and clamps parts and subassemblies
- Ensure clean and smooth finish of products prior to stain or paint
- Perform finishing including painting, staining or varnishing by hand or spray. Maintain all spray equipment in accordance with shop specifications
- Install hardware as required
- May repair furniture and fixtures
- Ensures best use of material for minimum waste
- Prepares required paperwork
- Packaging as required
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment
- Continue to grow Lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement to product and processes

**Education and Experience**:

- College graduate from woodworking or cabinet making program preferred
- Woodworking or cabinet making journeyman status is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years Wood Working experience required
- Good working knowledge of hand tools and building machinery
- Forklift license an asset
- Competent with Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to use AutoCad, Solidworks or similar program for design
- Able to work from verbal and/or written instructions with mínimal supervision
- Good hand-eye coordination required along with good visual aptitude for distinguishing colours
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs
