**Job Summary**:
We're seeking a dynamic **Manager - Prosthetics/Orthotics, and Outpatient Rehabilitation**, reporting to the VP of Finance & CFO. In this role you will lead the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives for P&O and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centric care and financial excellence. Drive innovation, cultivate inter-departmental synergy and collaboration, elevate patient satisfaction, while prioritizing safety standards and our organizational values.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership in the development of the P&O and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Strategic Plan and annual business plans, which includes major goals, objectives, and initiatives. Support the operationalization of the vision and strategic plan.
- Manager will possess exceptional communication skills and partner closely with the Manager of the Amputee service in order to provide exceptional, timely patient service.
- Foster collaborative inter-departmental relations with the clinical programs, in particular the Amputee Rehabilitation Service.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the regional UHN Limb preservation strategy.
- Identify service planning opportunities and preparing proposals for new services, revenue generation opportunities and additional funding.
- Leading team building and collaboration both intra-department and inter-department.
- Provide leadership, managerial oversight and direction to staff with respect to the provision of high quality, efficient and cost-effective service delivery and manufacturing, following policies and procedures, including identification of improvements.
- With primary managerial accountability for the service, lead or participate in meetings related to the services and act as a central resource to coordinate and facilitate engagement with internal and external hospital and community partners to provide high quality integrated services.
- Partner with key Programs and Departments to develop, lead and participate in the implementation of strategic projects.
- Manage project timelines, lead interdisciplinary project teams, provides status reports, and evaluate effectiveness of improvement activities.
- Advise and guide clinical staff, in the management of clients and mediate conflicts and/or complaints as appropriate. Consult with other clinical staff and patients to troubleshoot problems as may be required including identification of recommendations for improvement to interprofessional and department collaboration.
- Ensure contractual obligations and services offered with third party funders: WSIB, insures, government funders and programs are adhered to.

- Ensure healthy patient-staff relationships utilizing evidence informed practices to deliver high quality, client-centered care.
- Continually improve processes by investigating, addressing and responding to issues and concerns with the appropriate parties. Effectively use change management techniques.
- Enhance the patient/client experience with a focus on person-centered care by strengthening relationships between staff and patients. Strive to reach targets set internally and externally.
- Participate in the accreditation process.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure quality and cost effectiveness of program and department services.

**Financial Accountabilities**:

- Prepare the annual operating budgets aligned to the department and program strategic plan and key budget assumptions.
- Track budgets (financial and performance indicators) monthly, develop strategies to ensure annual budgets (total sale, net contributions and volumes) are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements through the analysis of statistical reports to reflect opportunities.
- Contribute to reporting for donors and responsible for other reporting and administrative processes.

**Education/Research**:

- Facilitate and support participation in research studies, quality improvement initiatives educational events, and the creation and dissemination of knowledge and information for internal and external use.
- Support clinical instruction to prosthetic/orthotic students; develop educational partnerships with George Brown College and other academic institutions.
