Warehouse Person (Terrace campus)

Job description and duties
- CMTN acknowledges the six _unceded _traditional territories its campuses reside on: Haida, Tsimshian (Ts'msyen), Nisga'a, Haisla, Gitxsan, Wet'suwet'en nations._

Duties: Reporting to the Accounting Coordinator this position will perform shipping and receiving, acquisition and distribution of purchased items, and other duties related to supply chain.

Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

- Pick up, sort and deliver external and internal campus mail
- Receive and unpack materials delivered by courier, mail and local vendor, verify contents and process Custom’s documentation as necessary
- Check received goods for damage, shortage and other, process claims as necessary
- Process packing slips, invoices, credit notes, distribution slips
- Research and make shipping decisions, prepare, package and label shipments
- Operate the warehouse van and forklift
- Other related duties (of similar scope and complexity) as assigned

**Qualifications**:
Grade 12 and two years post-secondary education along with 2 years of related experience in a mid to large organization. A Parts/Warehousing Certification of Qualification (CQ) is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Other requirements include:

- A valid Class 5 driver’s license (with a clean driver’s abstract) and forklift operator certificate
- Demonstrated ability to lift and transport heavy packages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented and self-directed with good time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
