Position: Directional Drill Operator/Locator

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Start Date: Immediate

Reporting to the Supervisor for fiber optic installation, the individual is responsible for operation of the equipment and support during all phases of the project.

The driller provides a broad range of support which includes, but not limited to:

- Operation of drilling and bore equipment for the installation of conduit
- Loading and unloading of the directional boring equipment
- Completing fiber drops once conduit is installed
- Work independently or under minimum supervision
- Meet physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Adhere to all of company’s safety protocols
- General housekeeping duties

Experience/Skills:

- Minimum 6 months experience running directional drilling equipment
- Preferred 2+ years of drilling/location experience
- Ground Disturbance level 2
- Knowledge of telecom and fiber optic installation
- Safety FIRST Mentality
- Ability to listen and take direction with positive, can-do attitude
- Valid Driver’s license with a clean drivers record
- Must possess basic English - verbal/written
- Able to work as part of a team, and individually when required
- Attention to detail
- Must pass a Drug and Alcohol test
