T. Musselman Excavating is a local growing excavating company that is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team. The main purpose for this role is to coordinate onsite operations and oversee crew members on infrastructure construction projects. The foreman will be the first point of contact for employees, clients and management and is responsible for completion of the assigned tasks for each project.

**Salary**:$38-$45/hr, dependent on experience

**Hours**:50-55 hours a week

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure utility locates are on site and current and are reviewed with the crew
- Decipher construction drawings and specifications
- Working knowledge of book 7 traffic protection
- Working knowledge of OPSS and OPSD
- Ensure daily and weekly production requirements are achieved
- Complete jobs in a variety of settings such as open field, ICI and reconstructions
- Oversee, train and mentor team members to ensure optimal safety, quality of work and production of the crew
- Work in conjunction with the project manager to understand project scope and contract
- Communicate daily with operations and dispatch to plan ahead for required materials, trucking or manpower
- Complete various paperwork in a timely fashion - daily crew work tickets, daily JSAs, weekly safety talks, weekly job site inspections etc.
- Attend and participate in regular site meetings
- Cooperate with the MOL and ensure an OHSA compliant job site
- Operate various equipment and labour on occasion, as required
- Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Comply with all company health and safety guidelines
- Other duties will be assigned as required

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- 5-10 years of experience working as a part of a sewer and watermain crew
- 2-3 years of prior foreman experience in sewer and watermain installation
- Must demonstrate hands on leadership
- Great communication skills
- Must be safety conscious
- Excellent team player
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Must have a valid G license
- Must attend all required safety training

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
