Job Summary
Assist with the clean-up and inventory of homes and businesses following an emergency. Our Contents Labourer itemizes, and sorts contents, carefully packs and stores undamaged content, cleans and restores repairable contents, and then returns contents to the restored building or owner once rebuild construction is done.
Core Competencies
Comprehensive knowledge of hand and power tools, equipment and materials.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Work in protective clothing and respirator.
Familiar with workplace safety and safe lifting procedures.
Job Duties
Create an inventory of all contents within a home or business.
Professionally pack content into boxes and prepare larger items to be moved.
Clean content at site or at warehouse (according to Stutter's cleaning protocols)
Clean internal and external structures as required.
Move, pack, inventory homeowner's furniture and contents.
Assist in the final clean and resetting of contents in homes and business.
Follow instructions provided from the site supervisor.
Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
Comply with federal and provincial laws regulating waste disposal methods.
Deliver, load, and unload materials. Move materials at worksites.
Prepare worksite by laying floor protection and sealing off work areas.
Remove flooring, drywall and other building materials.
Work through a project in compliance to all hazardous materials handling guidelines & prescribed safety procedures
Remove debris from worksite, clean worksite post construction.
Assist with other duties as required.
Ensure work is completed to a high-quality standard.
**Requirements**:
Previous restorations experience an asset but not necessary.
Valid driver's license.
Bondable, criminal background check
Able to work on a on call schedule
Ability to work in a team environment.
