New employees must provide documentation of a 2-step TB screening, as well as proof of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chickenpox) prior to their start date at St. Mary’s General Hospital. **Staff will require clearance from Employee Health and Wellness before they are able to begin any position within SMGH.
**Position Summary**:
The Receiver role is responsible for performing various warehousing tasks to ensure end-users are supplied with required products in a timely fashion. The Receiver role is responsible for receiving, put-away, inventory control, Shipping, and maintaining accurate records of receipts and shipments and other functions necessary to maintain an efficient and effective warehouse environment. Key to the success of this position is the ability to achieve a high level of accuracy and a timely flow of products into the warehouse, within the warehouse and outbound to both internal and external customers. This position provides logistic support to the other Stores Clerks, Stock Keeper, and Purchasing group within Materials Management.

This position exists in order to accurately check and receive all incoming packages before being sent to the end user. Accuracy is paramount as the receiving that is done is directly connected to the purchase order and relate directly to the dollar amount that finance will pay vendors.

**Position Requirements**:
Successful completion of a High School Diploma.

Three (3) years’ recent (within the last 5 years) experience in a shipping/receiving rol e.

Knowledge in all facets of warehousing (receiving, put-away, picking, shipping) and an understanding of good warehousing practices.

Certification for Transportation of Dangerous Goods.

Proven recent recordkeeping & organizational skills with attention to detail to make quick mental calculations.

Demonstrated ability to make decisions on quality and accuracy of work and show initiative to initiate positive change and prioritize workload.

Exceptional ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment where frequent interruptions occur.\

Demonstrate the physical and mental capabilities necessary for proper and efficient performance of the essential duties of the position. This includes intermittent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead on a daily basis.

Successfully able to perform their function in accordance with prescribed standards that focuses on the priority of People Safety and the delivery of the highest standard of Quality Care.

**Preferred Requirements:
Superior Computer Skills, Intranet, & inventory Control System.

Working Knowledge of medical supplies, equipment & terminology

Ownership of a Pump Truck License.

Community College Courses in warehousing/distribution
