**JOB SUMMARY**:
Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (42.5 hours per week) with potential for overtime as needed during week or on weekends.

Directs, plans, assigns, and monitors the activities of the Shipping/Receiving Department.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To maintain positive work relations with others and to create and maintain a team environment;
- Supervises the routing of all printed material through the shipping/receiving operations.
- Set up sheeting schedule and monitor the production
- Tracking all stock that has been pulled and keeping track of inventory
- Enter all orders into software/Excel
- Remove orders pulled from software, allocating stock to order (date/time)
- Monitor and maintain the quality standard of finished goods according to company and customer specifications.
- Review with the production supervisors the daily order list
- Direct the individuals in the department, including all permanent and temporary employees;
- Each day, whether at end of day or beginning of day, you must meet with your shipper/receivers/sheeter to review their jobs and responsibilities
- To work together with production to ensure that we can meet deadlines through accurate estimation of timelines, workers required, etc.
- Must monitor the overtime worked by all employees in department. When overtime is necessary it must be approved by plant manager;
- To organize the shipping/receiving/area (including loading dock) so that it can run as smoothly and efficiently as possible and to maintain same;
- Ensure areas are kept organized and clean at all times;
- Approves material to be stored as overstock or recommends items to be purged.
- Complete transfer sheets for shipments to fulfillment facility
- Count waste monthly and arrange pick up

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- 2 to 3 years lead hand or supervisory experience preferred
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Excel
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study considered an asset
- Solid understanding of various aspects of the business considered a strong asset
- Valid forklift certification
- Strong skills in work planning and scheduling
