All-Paws Pet Services is an established Sherwood Park and area dog walking & pet sitting company with a growing clientele. **Job Description for Pet Sitters-- **Please read thoroughly**

As a pet sitter, you would be paid to stay in client's homes and care for their pets and home while they are away on vacation. This will include feeding pets, letting dogs outside for bathroom breaks, cleaning litter boxes, administering medication when needed, walking dogs, cleaning up pet messes, watering plants, bringing in mail, etc. You would also be required to go to an initial consult/meet & greet with new clients to go over all the information and pet care details you would need for the pet sitting job. This job requires people skills as well as animal skills

This job is for an experienced animal lover that is **not currently the sole owner of a pet of their own**. This is a great opportunity for a retiree, a university student, someone who works remotely or for someone looking to supplement their part-time income. Sitters are not required to stay at the client's house for 24 hours a day, but are **required to not be absent for longer than 6 hours at a time, with a total limit of 8 hours split up in one day**. Applicants who work or attend school for full-time hours (8+ hours/day) need not apply.

Pet sitting jobs can be during the week, on weekends, and over major stat holidays. Job duration can range from 2 nights to 2 or 3 weeks at a time. Some months of the year are much busier with bookings than others, with our busiest season being over winter and summer. Most pet sitting jobs will be in Sherwood Park, Edmonton, and surrounding areas such as Beaumont, Ardrossan and rural addresses.

**Job type**: Independent contractor

The pay is commission based and can vary depending on the number of pets at the home, and any added requests by the client (such as extra dog walks, or watering large gardens, etc).

Sitters can expect to make a base minimum of $56/night, up to $68/night depending on the number of pets, with the opportunity to earn more if extra walks are requested, a travel fee is applied for a long daily commute for the sitter, or if they are required to do a half day sit (staying at the home later than noon or 6pm) on the last day of a sitting job. Sitters make extra for pet sitting on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day. If the client chooses to tip, 100% of the tip will be paid to the sitter.

**Job Requirements**

We are looking for a team member ready to commit long term (1+ year)

**Applicants MUST**:

- Absolutely LOVE animals
- Have their own vehicle
- Have a clean criminal record/be bondable
- Have lots of experience taking care of pets
- Be professional, organized, responsible, reliable, tidy & mature
- Be comfortable and confident with all pet types and sizes
- Be willing to take a 10 hour pet first aid course (paid for by company)
- Provide references
- Answer all screening questions
