**STS Tree Services** is looking for a **Tree Climber - Arborist** to join our team

**Responsibilities**:

- This is an ideal opportunity for a young and developing Climber/Arborist to grow and develop their skills and increase their income earning ablility
- Perform removals and pruning of all types of trees, hedges and shrubs/bushes
- Assist with other duties including stump-grinding, job clean-up, etc.
- Work with other crew workers to conduct the work in a safe, efficient and professional manner and complete the projects on time
- Opportunity to become Crew Leader/Supervisor and be responsible to oversee all aspects of the daily jobs (supervise workers, interact with clients, customer relations, etc.)
- Opportunity to be Driver of Dumptruck and Wood Chipper (appropriate License required)
- Other duties as assigned by General Manager

**Required Skills**:

- ISA or other certification as a Climber is an asset but is not required
- On the job training from a Certified Climber-Arborist will be provided as needed
- Tuition costs, registration fees and other expenses will be paid to attend
continuing education and training programs such as Humber College Urban
Aboriculture program and others
- Minimum one full year of experience as a Climber
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, work in tight spaces, lift heavy objects, etc.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.

**Salary**: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week

- Climbing: 1 year (preferred)
