Graphics System Firmware Intern

Embedded within the Client Graphics and AI Group, the Graphics System Firmware Architecture team is responsible for developing end to end System and Security architecture for Discrete GPU SOCs. Our team works across many domains, supporting both integrated as well as discrete graphics, Windows and Linux, HW SW FW for all the vertical components media, 3D, compute, display, KMD.
As a graphics system firmware architecture intern, your primary responsibility will be to develop Firmware ROM and Bootloader implementations for next gen Security features such as Root of Trust of Measurement, DICE, PUF Identity. The role requires a deep understanding of Platform Security concepts, Micro-controllers, Firmware Design.
The responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Developing Firmware bootloader ROM code and scripts
- Writing and updating Architecture specifications, UMLs Block Diagrams
- Develop Functional and Unit Test Plans and Test Documentation
- Understanding of Intel's discrete graphics boot flow and generate threat models for new features being defined for Root of Trust of Measurements
- Multi-stakeholder engagements and being a good team player
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:
You must be pursuing a Master's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and have 2+ years experience with:
- SOC and Firmware design/development
- Courses in Micro-controllers, SOC, VLSI, Security, Platform Design
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- PhD Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering or related STEM degree
- RTOS is a preference

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in Canada:CAD 61,000.00-CAD 126,000.00

**Working Model**:
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
**In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.**
