**PURPOSE**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare estimates and schedules including coordinating sub-trade invitations and estimates, preparation of contract documents and schedules
- Evaluate, assess, and address situational factors such as complexities, conditions, and trends
- Assist in the development of estimating plan to establish strategies for job tendering
- Effectively analyze construction benchmarks and historical costs
- Identifies potential risks, opportunities, and alternative solutions
- Participate in presentation of estimates and proposals to clients
- Perform material take-offs and systematically estimate costs involving fabrication, manufacturing, and construction projects
- Perform quality checks on estimates to ensure accuracy
- Attend and participate in site-visits, pre-bid meetings and post-bid meetings as required
- Interface with and provide on-going technical support to Project Management Team
- Track and record tender information regarding projects rewarded and rejected for continuous improvement and history tracking

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Post-Secondary education in engineering, commerce, or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Practical experience preparing progressive cost estimates for construction projects is an asset
- Construction or manufacturing experience is considered an asset
