Dog Daycare Attendant

Playful Paws is a busy dog daycare and training facility, located in Burnside. We are currently looking to hire full and part time daycare handlers to join our up beat and charismatic team. We offer competitive wages and health benefits after the probationary period is completed.

In this role, you will be supervising the dogs, managing plays and ensure the safety of all those attending. This includes dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Included in the daily tasks is a lot of consistent cleaning. Please keep in mind that while daycare can be fun, it is not just cuddling puppies. We are outside as much as possible and in our all-natural yard that can get messy. We are continuously cleaning up after dogs (this includes all bodily fluids), cleaning the facility and cleaning the yards. This is not a play with dogs all day kind of job. If you do not have experience with multiple dogs in an off leash setting, that are not your own dogs, you do not have the experience we require.

Our hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 6:30pm, so long shifts are probable. Your ability to show up for your shift on time and consistently is a must. If you currently have experience in a daycare, kennel or rescue facility we would love to hear from you. Each position comes with a 3-month review, 6-month review, and then transferring to a yearly review, and a 6-month probation period.
