**FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN**:
**FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN**

**Facility Maintenance Technician Primary Responsibilities**:

- Inspect, maintain, and build new buildings
- Perform semiannual roof inspections
- Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects
- Keep track of company truck and gas card

**Facility Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications**:

- Experience in any of the following areas: electrical, AC, HVAC, plumbing, or landscaping
- Valid driver’s license
- DOT Certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)

**Work Environment**:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

**Physical Demands**:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

**Responsabilités principales des techniciens en entretien d’établissement**:

- Inspecter, entretenir et construire de nouveaux bâtiments.
- Effectuer les inspections semestrielles des toitures.
- Mutualiser ses connaissances avec celles d’autres techniciens en entretien d’établissements pour réaliser des projets complexes.
- Surveiller l’utilisation du camion et de la carte d’essence de la compagnie.

**Qualifications mínimales des techniciens en entretien d’établissement**:

- De l’expérience dans n’importe quel des domaines suivants : électricité, climatisation, systèmes CVCA, plomberie ou aménagement paysager.
- Un permis de conduire valide ainsi que la capacité de garder un bon dossier de conducteur pour pouvoir conduire des véhicules automobiles commerciaux.
- Respecter tous les règlements locaux, provinciaux et fédéraux sur les véhicules en conduisant.
- Une expérience en remorquage de véhicules est un atout.

Les conducteurs U-Haul qui conduisent des véhicules de service et/ou des camions de location avec un poids nominal brut du véhicule de 4 500 kg ou plus - ou une combinaison de véhicules (camion et remorque) qui a un poids nominal brut combiné de 4 500 kg ou plus - sont tenus d’avoir un dossier de qualification du conducteur. Un certificat médical d’un médecin examinateur doit être obtenu afin de devenir un conducteur ou une conductrice de véhicule automobile commercial U-Haul.

**Milieu de travail**:
Ce travail implique des risques modérés ou des risques de malaises qui nécessitent des mesures de sécurité spéciales, p. ex. travailler en présence de pièces en mouvement, de machines, d’émanations ou de produits chimiques irritants. On pourra donc exiger le port de vêtements ou d’équipement de protection individuelle comme des masques, des lunettes, des gants ou des écrans faciaux.

**Exigences physiques**:
Ce travail requiert des actions comportant de l’effort physique comme rester sur place autant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur pendant de longues périodes de temps, parcourir des espaces ainsi que se repositionner pour atteindre et utiliser des outils. Il faut aussi pouvoir déplacer un minimum de 23 kg (50 lb) avec ou sans aide.
