**ACLB : Mandate**:
Support and accompany community members to promote their integration, improve their living conditions and mental health, strengthen social ties and develop mutual aid.

**Job summary**:
Work hours: 25-28 hours / week (from September 1 to June 30).

Planning, preparation and facilitation of the following tasks and activities:
**Main functions and responsibilities**:

- Parent-child workshop - 8 hours / week
- Workshop facilitation for parents and children.
- Daycare - 4 hours / week
- Daycare service for 18 months to 5 years old
- 9-12 Club - 3 hours / week
- Activity facilitation for young people aged 9 to 12.
- Toy library and toddler troubleshooting - 1 hour / week
- Responsible for requests and follow-ups, equipment status and research for new equipment as needed.
- Referral and family support - 2 to 4 hours/week
- Listening, support and referral service (It is important to know the local organizations and services to make the right referrals).
- Social media updates (Facebook, Web site, etc.) -1 hr/ week
- Other tasks - 3 to 4 hours/week
- Documentation and reports for all activities.
- Support for other team members.
- Be present for the early childhood table.
- Development of community collaboration

**Qualifications and skills**:

- French Oral/written
- English: Oral/written
- Education : Hold a college diploma in a relevant field (special education, social work, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Specific experience in social service and family support, experience with children and families.
- Community work an asset
- Flexible and high level of maturity, capable of independent work, teamwork and leadership.
- Know the limits of your job. You must be able to communicate with team members and board members for tasks outside of your role.
- Technical ability in social media to make website updates and others as needed

It should be noted that appropriate interaction with people is required - the function of this position is to be the bridge between families in need or in crisis and the services available to them through ACLB, the community at large and various other community service groups. The job is not to solve the problem, but to connect those in need with the resources needed.
