Canada Steel is a steel wholesale company with four branches across Southwestern Ontario. We service accounts of all sizes, utilizing our buying power today to get the material customers need. We stock a broad array of Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, Aluminum, Stainless and specialty products so our customers don't have to.

**Duties**
- Operating G licensed stake truck within Canada Steel's fleet
- Ensuring timely delivery of steel products to our customers
- Inspecting load to ensure load security prior to leaving the warehouse
- Daily vehicle inspections
- Strapping material properly onto the bed of truck to meet the Ministry of Labour standards
- Loading / unloading steel manually and with the use of overhead cranes / forklift
- Fulfilling customer orders by pulling the steel purchased and loading it onto the trucks for delivery
- Ensure loads are secure on the trucks
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
- Communicate with sales staff to ensure order accuracy and quality
- Ensure safe working practices are being followed
- Work towards minimizing inventory losses
- Assist customers when picking up material

**Qualifications**
- G driver's license
- DZ License an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- A professional demeanor
- Great customer service skills as you will representing Canada Steel when interacting with customers
- Previous driving experience required
- Clean driver's abstract
- Experience in the steel industry would be an asset
- Hard working and organized
- Background in steel industry is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a faced paced environment
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience loading flatbed trucks (preferably with steel) is a plus
- Ability to read tape measures and verniers / calipers
- Overhead Crane Experience an asset
- Forklift Experience an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
