ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:_**
We specialize in making flight operations, air traffic management, and aircraft maintenance more efficient, helping our customers to improve their operations and supporting them on their sustainability goals.
We are looking to staff a Graduate Data Analyst within the SITA Aircraft Communications engineering team located in Montreal downtown. As part of our Datalink core team, you will get to actively work with aviation domain experts, developers, Quality of Service specialists and help them with any descriptive analysis. You will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

What you will do:_**
- From several data sources of raw data related to the aircraft communications, you clean and prepare data for analysis by detecting errors, removing errors, identifying outliers, and transforming data into a format suitable for analysis.
- By using tools and statistical methods, you analyze the data and explore it for insights by testing hypotheses, identifying trends, and making prediction.
- You develop software essential for data extraction, data cleanup, data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
- You collaborate with the engineering team members, understand their needs, and provide them with relevant data insights, including tools and processes.

Qualifications:
**_ Who you are:_**
- 0-6 months in data analytics fields, e.g. internship in relevant industry fields
- Having a systematic and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability for critical thinking and creativity.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Strong analytical and math skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of and experience with business intelligence tools and reports, databases, programming.
- Bilingual English French.
- Python, R (data sciences libraries and frameworks)
- Business Intelligence tools such Power BI, Tableau, MS Excel
- Database / SQL Query
- Optionally Prometheus / Grafana / Elastic Search
- 2023 Graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science with a Master of Science;
