Seasonal Caretaker

Do you love to work outside? Does connecting with nature while being part of a sweet staff team appeal to you? Sasamat Outdoor Centre is seeking a Caretaker for the 2024 season. This is a full-time, seasonal position that runs from March to the end of October. Located on beautiful Sasamat Lake in Belcarra, BC, Sasamat Outdoor Centre is a non-profit children's summer camp, outdoor education centre, and rental facility.

The Caretaker plays an integral role in keeping the facility and grounds in spectacular shape. Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Caretaker is responsible for janitorial services to the buildings and basic landscaping of the grounds.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- Vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors
- Clean and sanitize washrooms
- Restock supplies in washrooms and common area
- Empty all trash cans, clean receptacles as necessary
- Cleaning windowsills, windows and base board heaters
- Maintain janitor closets in a safe, clean and operable condition
- Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals
- Wearing proper person protective equipment at all times
- General maintenance of grounds, water plants, cut grass, power wash
- Other routine maintenance duties as assigned
