**Role Summary**

Reporting into the Environmental Lead for the GO Expansion Program the role forms part of the Integrated Program Delivery Team (IPDT).

The purpose of the role is to support the Environmental & Sustainability Lead to ensure that the environmental management system and processes are in place, in delivering the environmental requirements of the annual work plan and to support the facilitation of an industry leading approach to delivery of the program, minimising environmental impact and supporting enhancement or improvement where possible.

Embedment of these processes, maintaining visibility and celebrating success will be key to the successful delivery of this role.
- Have knowledge of local Environmental and Sustainability legislation and risk management to support compliance across the program.
- Have knowledge and experience of sustainable procurement initiatives to influence colleagues and provide appropriate guidance to the client.
- Support the development and management of the Environmental Management System, identifying gaps that may exist.
- Promote continuous improvement and share best practice with the IPDT to minimise the environmental impact of the Program.
- Seek opportunities to make enhancements to the environment and sustainability of the works from design through to handover and operation.
- Alongside the Environmental & Sustainability Lead provide a focal point and provide advice to the IPDT to enable the environmental and sustainability duties to be discharged

**Qualifications**

**Education**: Relevant Degree and / or experience

**Technical Competencies**:

- Technical knowledge and experience of the construction process and preferably experience of working on large scale construction or infrastructure programs and projects.
- Experience of working in an Environmental and Sustainability field or equivalent level qualifications.
- Good knowledge and practical experience of Environmental Management systems compliant with ISO14001:2015
- Knowledge of local environmental regulation and legal requirements
- Knowledge and experience of environmental measurement and reporting systems.
- Project management skills
- Demonstrable ability to deliver credible and timely results
- Analytical, able to process data and identify trends and summarise insights
- A high standard of written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and inspire others
- Problem solver
- Good time management and task prioritisation skills
