Daily - 7 hours per day.

This position will be paid an additional $2262.25 in compensation per year. This position will include regular contact with the Principal(s) of Special Education.

PERMANENT

**Salary Range**: $26.16 - $30.74 per hour in accordance with the OPSEU Collective Agreement

**Start Date**: ASAP

**Qualifications**:
Required

Minimum two year college diploma in Child and Youth Worker, Development Service Worker, Educational Assistant or Social Service Worker OR a University degree in Behaviour Science in particular those who have a speciality in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Child Studies, Education, Psychology, Social Work or Sociology;
Two (2) years related experience working with children and youth who have high special education needs, in particular those who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

**Preferred**:
Completion of a one (1) year post-graduate program in Autism and Behavioural Sciences; or

Completion of a three (3) year program in Behavioural Science Technology; or

Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) qualifications.

**Pertinent Skills and Experience**:
Excellent interpersonal, organization, and coordinating skills;
Good oral and written communication skills;
Ability to use software tools to record and display behaviour data;
Ability to deliver professional development using a variety of media;
Conduct functional behaviour assessments and interpret the results of the data;
As a member of the Complex Needs Team, design and write ABA programs;
Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team with field and school staff, colleagues, teachers, service professionals, to support students;
Reliable transportation required;
The nature of this position will require travel within the Board; mileage reimbursement at the Board approved rate.
