**Job Summary**: As the Purchaser and Inventory Control Analyst, you will be responsible for efficiently managing our inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the availability of welding supplies to meet customer demands. Your keen ability to forecast inventory needs accurately and maintain optimal stock levels will be essential in minimizing costs and maximizing customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
- Monitor inventory levels, track product performance, and analyze sales trends to forecast future demands.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to understand customer needs and align inventory accordingly.
- Source, negotiate with, and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and on-time delivery of products.
- Process purchase orders and manage the procurement process from order placement to product receipt.
- Review and evaluate suppliers based on their performance, quality of products, and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Work closely with the accounting department to reconcile invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend appropriate action.
- Continuously improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably in the welding or industrial supplies industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams and suppliers.
- A proactive problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Knowledge of welding equipment, consumables, and related products is a plus.
