Qualifications:
- Mechanical based education or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience-
- A minimum of two years construction engineering and layout experience-
- Excellent written and verbal “English” communication required-
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment through above average time management and multi-tasking skills-
- Exceptional attention to detail required-
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships with management, co-workers, and sub-trades-
- Willingness to learn; perseverance through high pressure situations-
- Relevant work experience with a construction / project management / system management platform preferred-
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills-
- Must have well developed computer skills with the flexibility, adaptability and desire to seek out, learn and embrace new and emerging technology-
- Experience with design software-
- Advanced proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office - specifically Excel and Project-
- Ability to function with and utilize video conference software (ie-Zoom)- Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required-
- Coordinate all process piping and electrical for site construction-
- Monitor installation of services and material for conformance to drawings and provide feedback on best practice setup/layout-
- Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors-
- Continually find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications by conferring with contractors and engineers-
- Co-ordinate conflict solutions with the various sub-trades-
- Assemble, prepare, and report data-
- Liaise with all departments and attending internal meetings-
- Assist Site Superintendent where required- Location:
- Welland, Ontario
Hours: 44 hours per week, as required by site
