Quality Inspector

**ROLE**

The position is also accountable to provide quality assurance in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan and the Quality Management Plan in the performance of the work. The position will provide daily reports of construction activities, progress and issues. The position requires awareness, understanding and enforcement of the Project Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review construction drawings, specifications, conditions, commitments, work plans and procedures.
- Participate in Daily Safety Tailgate meetings including daily job hazard assessments.
- Complete daily report on construction activities, progress, and issues.
- Verification of daily LEMS for respective crews.
- Ensure that the Coating Inspectors or third-party contractors are performing coating quality control inspections.
- Validation of coating applicator and coating inspector qualifications.
- Verification of coating product storage, control, and expiration dates.
- Verification of substrate cleanliness and surface profile preparation.
- Ensuring consistent verification of coating product batch number, temperature, and mixing practices.
- Verification of dry film thickness, coating cure, and coating hardness.
- Verification of holiday detection equipment and activities.
- Review of project coating quality control reports.

**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**
- At least 6 to 10 years of industrial and/or oil and gas, LNG construction experience is required.
- Strong organizational skills, technical knowledge and people skills to interface with a diverse group of third-party contractors, internal and external stakeholders.
- Teamwork, communication, people skills and achieving milestones are important to your success in this role.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

**EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION**
- API 1169 Pipeline Construction Inspector Certification
- NACE Coating Inspection Professional (CIP) Certified - Minimum Level 2
