We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to continue a career in carpentry. The Carpenter Apprentice will work alongside experienced carpenters, gaining hands-on experience and learning essential skills in various aspects of carpentry, mostly in building new furniture for our domestic and international customers. This role requires a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in constructing custom furniture pieces, focusing on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Support experienced carpenters with tasks such as measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood components
- Load, unload, and organize materials and tools at job sites or workshops.
- Perform sanding, staining, finishing, and basic joinery under supervision.
- Learn to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work meets the company’s quality standards and specifications.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
**Requirements**:
- 1-3 years of experience at the same position
- Familiarity with tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and drill
- Basic measuring and cutting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, technical drawings, and instruction
- Proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and PPE usage
- Openness to constructive feedback and guidance from senior team members
- Working well with other carpenters, laborers, and supervisors on site
- Knowledge of handling, preserving, and crafting with live edge wood (good to have)
- Experience in maintaining natural edges and achieving aesthetic finishes (good to have)
Pay: $18.40-$29.00 per hour
