Instructor, Advanced Care Paramedic Program

**NOTE: This is a temporary position ending on or before July 15, 2026.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, lab and/or clinical setting (in both the Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic programs)
- Manage instructional delivery and set the tone and climate for a safe and effective learning environment
- Evaluate the learning process
- Provide early and on-going coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success and retention
- Respond to student issues
- Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications and program promotions
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students and colleagues
- Actively participate in business plan objectives as identified by the institute
- Utilize regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement
- Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Graduation from a recognized Advanced Care Paramedic program, with preference given to graduates of CMA accredited programs
- Registered with The Alberta College of Paramedics with a minimum of 5 years EMS field experience
- Basic computer literacy is required, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills

**Desirable**:

- Instructor certification in ACLS, PALS and NRP
- Coordination certification in the above
- Experience in delivery of adult education

**Remuneration**: $2,462.86 - $4,284.34 biweekly, plus 18.5% in lieu of annual vacation and named holidays. (Classification - Instructor).
- This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement_
