**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Enrolment, the Recruitment Officer is actively involved in recruiting and converting students to meet enrolment targets by representing Loyalist College at various in-person and virtual events, such as high school visits, college fairs, community events, career fairs, and other venues. The incumbent is an ambassador for Loyalist College, who will build and cultivate relationships with prospective students, as well as maintain relationships with key stakeholder/influencer groups including guidance counsellors, teachers, college transfer advisors, parents and community partners. The incumbent works closely with the Coordinator, other staff and faculty across the college to align recruitment programming with strategic enrolment goals.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assists in the planning, organizing, scheduling and execution of a series of on and off campus and virtual events and activities intended to promote Loyalist College and recruit students
- Builds and cultivates relationships with prospective students, as well as maintains relationships with key stakeholders/influencer groups (i.e. guidance counsellors, teachers, college transfer advisors, parents and community partners)
- Connects and nurtures leads until offer acceptance
- Acts as contact for prospective students and various stakeholders to advise on Loyalist College programs, admission requirements, school services and supports
- Works with admissions and enrolment data to target low enrolment programs by week, working with Marketing and Communications for campaigns to target specific segments
- Performs direct and indirect market outreach
- Represents Loyalist College as a member of the Guidance Advisory Council

**Qualifications**
- Completion of a two (2) year diploma in Business, Public Relations, Sales, Marketing, Communications or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in recruitment, marketing, public relations, or sales. Specific experience working in a post-secondary environment considered an asset
- Knowledge of post-secondary programs, services, and admissions process is required
- Exceptional customer service, sales, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring understanding an effective response to customer’s needs
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of office-related software (i.e. MS Office, CRM, Banner, database)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
