**JOB SUMMARY**:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join our team. As a key member of the Quality team, you will be responsible for the execution of quality processes within a product-based manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include performing First Article Inspections including creating CMM inspection programs, providing first level support to manufacturing line issues, executing Non-Conforming Material Reports and related transactions, and maintaining the Material Review Board.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Analyze and report internal Quality performance data and trends to ensure customer and business requirements are consistently achieved and exceeded
- Create programs and perform inspections using CMM (CMM-Manager)
- Coordinate component and finished good verification activities including First Article Inspection
- Execute inspection processes using appropriate tools
- Provide first-level support to issues experienced by Production line
- If applicable, conduct training of personnel with regards to internal procedures
- Participate or lead external audits and witness testing at suppliers’ facilities, as appropriate
- Conduct internal product, process and procedure compliance audits, as appropriate
- Perform other duties as related to those outlined above, or which may be completed based on individual skill or experience
- Process Non-Conforming Material Reports and facilitate related inventory transactions
- Provide metrology mentorship to team members as appropriate

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- Quality Assurance certificate or equivalent work experience (3 years min.)
- Green Belt Certification or equivalent industry lean experience is an asset, but not required
- ASQ CQT or CQI is an asset

**Experience**:

- Three (3) years’ Quality experience in a Quality Inspection, Quality Technician, or similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of measurement techniques and use of metrology equipment to take precise measurements including micrometer, vernier, height gauge, etc.
- Experience creating programs using CMM-Manager
- Working knowledge in gauging methods, calibration, and gauge R and R’s.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma best practices an asset
- Experience with Design for Excellence (DfX), Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and/or Design for Assembly (DfA) an asset
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor an asset
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office necessary
