- About The Aspen PCN

The Aspen Primary Care Network first became operational in 2010, serving three communities. Since then, we have grown to include partnership between family physicians in Athabasca, Westlock, Barrhead, Swan Hills, Kinuso, High Prairie and Wabasca, Alberta. In total, the PCN has 43 participating physicians serving approximately 30,000 residents within our region.

Our priorities are to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention, and to enable successful self-management of chronic diseases and conditions.

The Aspen Primary Care Network is currently seeking a casual Receptionist for our office in Westlock, AB.
- What You Will Do
- Greet clients, answer phone and process patient inquiries, and schedule appointments
- Screen and triage patients that present to the clinic
- Control the phone and messaging systems, responsible to ensure patients are contacted by the appropriate team member in a timely fashion
- Provide general information to the public
- Maintain inventory of supplies & equipment
- Ensure clinic rooms are stocked, cleaned, & tidy
- Support clinicians with class preparation and other duties as required
- Responsible for patient reminder follow up
- General office duties as required
- What You Need To Succeed
- Grade 12 and completion of a recognized Unit Clerk Course or post-secondary secretarial/administrative support certificate from a recognized business school/college
- Medical terminology required
- Minimum typing speed 40 wpm
- Excellent working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office required
- Experience with AVA EMR system preferred
- Proof of a clean criminal record is required
- Completion of reference checks
