Kincardine, Canada Community Living Kincardine & District Full time

Youth Connections Team Leader works collaboratively with the Family Support team to plan meaningful and engaging summer programming for Youth with Developmental Disabilities. Accessing community-based activities and opportunities helps Youth with Developmental Disabilities build positive relationships, enhances their level of integration and improves their sense of belonging.

Working one-on-one or with small groups, the Team Leader will directly support Youth as they participate in a variety of recreation and skill-building opportunities; such as volunteering at a cat shelter, visiting the Bruce County Museum, walking the trails, learning to cook, mini-golfing with friends and taking part in summer festivals and events. The Youth Connections Team Leader will use a person-centred approach to understand the unique interests and goals of each participant and select activities that align with their personal skills, capabilities and support needs.
