**Position Summary**

**What You Will Do**
- Produce high-quality spatial deliverables via analysis and modeling of large datasets in a GIS environment
- Assist with proposals, budgets, and project plans for new business pursuits
- Work with project managers to create, proof, maintain, and document complex databases to support analytical operations
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and introduce new technologies
- Support multiple concurrent projects, including all project stages from planning and design to delivery, training, and documentation
- Review data quality, integrity, and security across all analytical/hardware/software systems
- Occasional field work may be required depending on project needs
- Other duties as assigned

**What You Will Bring**
- Post-secondary degree in GIS with a geography/Earth sciences focus, or advanced diploma in GIS from a technical school 2
- 5 years of experience in a GIS Technician or specialist role
- Proficient with ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) and its associated tools and extensions (e.g., Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst)
- Experience in GIS software development/programing including ModelBuilder, Python, Arcade,.NET, and web development tools
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook)

- Eligible to work in Canada
- Able to work at a desk in front of a computer for an extended period
- This position is based in Sidney, BC, and will require an in-person presence
