We're a fun and driven content creation and motion picture equipment rental company that makes awesome interactive motion graphics in the film industry and we are looking for talented, passionate, qualified individuals to join the team of On-Set Operators.

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**

The role of the On-Set Operator involves front-line, hands-on responsibilities in the playback of graphic elements on a set. The main function of an On-Set Operator will be ensuring the playback of video content & graphics on desired devices during Film & TV Productions.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

On-Set Operator key responsibilities can be categorized as follow:
**Equipment **Operation**:

- Responsible for accurate and timely setup, operation and breakdown of playback equipment
- Records digital (video) and audio for onset playback for directional review
- Prepare and ensure devices are ready - loaded with correct graphics, colour corrected, and playing back content properly
- Handles the maintenance of wireless transmitter, video tap and technical equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems as quickly as possible
- Responsible for playback of graphic elements on set - computer screens, televisions, mobile devices etc.
- Handle and coordinate graphic content changes and relay information to Coordinator as quickly as possible
- Ensure playback equipment and tools are secure from theft and/or damage when in use
- Comply with company security and safety measures
- Maintain a positive and effective communication channel with all parties

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- 3+ years of experience working with video technology, network, and troubleshoot
- Fluent in computer (hardware and software) systems
- Strong technical ability - can demonstrate advanced level of operational and troubleshooting ability
- Extreme attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - Able to communicate with articulately, precisely and effectively
- Strong understanding of video signal flow, video resolutions, frame rates, and signal conversion
- Extensive ability to time-manage, multitask and prioritize
- Can work around the clock and long hours
- Great interests and enthusiasm towards the film industry
- Strong ability to work confidently on own and in team setting
- Outstanding ability to adapt to challenges, changes, stress and tight-timelines
- Ability to carry over 50lbs
- Completion of mandatory courses as outlined by Creative BC
- Completion of training program as outlined by Scarab Digital
