**Job Summary**:
The position involves the provision of supportive mental health services to children and/or youth, and their families and/or caregivers in an outreach capacity. Services provided include mental health assessment, individual counselling, family work/mediation, crisis intervention, social skills training, psycho-educational training, advocacy and elements of case management.

**Wage/Salary**:$37.55 per hour

**Location**:Throughout CRD

**Hours of Work**:35 hours; flexible hours, Monday through Friday, but may involve some evening and weekend work.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrated expertise across a wide array of child/youth mental health disorders
- Demonstrated knowledge of assessment, treatment modalities, case management, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to consult and collaborate with medical and community professionals, agencies, schools, and other services
- Excellent written and oral communication and report writing

**Education, Training, and Experience**:

- Undergraduate degree in Human Services, preferably Child and Youth Care or Social Work
- At least 2 years of experience working with high-risk children and youth and their families, with at least 2 years in a mental health setting.
- Thorough knowledge of community supports and services typically accessed by children, youth, and their families referred to the program.

**Additional Information**:

- This position provides services in a stressful environment, often dealing with crisis situations and requires conflict resolution skills.
- The use of a vehicle in good working order with business insurance and the ability to transport clients and/or children is required.
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA) certification required.
- 2 COVID vaccinations required
