- Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
- Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Weigh meats for sale
- Cut poultry into parts
- Grind meats
- Make special sausages
- Slice cooked meats
- Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood

- Meat Cutter Trade Certification
- Certification with provincial or territorial authorities
**Equipment and machinery experience**:
- Manual cutting utensil
- Power grinder
