**Overview**
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Your compassionate nature and dedication will provide support to youths and adults with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care they require in a safe and nurturing environment. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering personalized care while promoting independence and dignity.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Help them become more independent and self-reliant ( Teach them how to navigate transportation, grocery shopping, hygiene, and more )
- Supporting individuals in engaging with community activities, forming friendships, and participating in social events.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. ( i.e, walking, swimming, malls, zoos, TELUS spark, grocery shopping, and more)
- Document daily care activities and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in nursing homes, senior care, or home care settings.(*Preferred, not Required*)
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and caregiving techniques. (*Preferred, not Required*)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Police vulnerable sector check (*Required*)
- First aid and CPR (*Required*)
- Car / transportation (*Preferred*)
- Early childhood education certification level 1 or 2 (*Preferred, not Required*)
- Healthcare certification or diploma (*Preferred, not Required*)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
